Listen to Motivational Songs
It is important to have a definite purpose towards which you are highly motivated to work. But unfortunately, staying motivated to do the things you need to do everyday to reach your chosen goal(s) can be a chore sometimes.
Sadly, this is a reality that we all face and will continue to face as we chase our goals. And since such a setback is unavoidable, the best thing to do is to learn to deal with it effectively.
In today's motivation, I want to share with you one of the many things I do to stay motivated (as an entrepreneur and self-published author) on my journey of greater personal achievement.
By sharing this, my aim is to inspire you to keep working towards your goal.
I stay motivated by listening to motivational songs.
This is one of the easiest and most effective ways to get myself to do the things I need to do when I don't feel like doing them.
There are many songs out there, both new and unforgettable classics, that will inspire in you a fresh flow of energy to get you back on track.
I highly recommend creating a playlist and overtime curate a list of your favourite motivational anthems that will be your go to music when the need arises.
For example, one of my all time favourites is Gonna Fly Now, the theme song from Rocky. Such a great song will inspire you to go that extra mile at the gym or makes a great company as you stay up alone in the dead of night trying to solve a business problem.
As an entrepreneur (and self-published author) who had started a publishing company back in 2010 at the age of 22, music has been one of the few things that kept me afloat (or should I say, sane.)
I had encountered countless struggles and setbacks in my early years especially when I was selling my first inspiration book, Struggles of a Dreamer door-to-door. I knocked on more than 27,000 doors in Toronto in my first three years as a novelist.
It was perhaps one of the hardest things I have ever done.
It was during this period that I develop the habit of listening to music as a source of motivation and began to curate several playlists to help me get over difficult periods.

I hope that you are now convinced of the power of music as a motivational tool. Here are a few of my favorite go to songs to help you begin to build a powerful playlist:

Aston Martin Music - Rick Ross ft Drake (I like the longer version of the song, you can find it on Youtube)
Move On Up - Curtis Mayfield
God's Plan - Drake
Shine - The Washboard Union
Started From the Bottom - Drake
Centuries - Fall Out Boy
Anything - Hedley
My Prayer - CalledOut Music
I Won't Back Down - Tom Petty
Big Things Poppin' - T.I
Blinded By Your Grace, Part 1 - Stormzy
Wars - The Strumbellas
